This spring marked an incredible season of growth and transformation
with our second cohort! Collaborating over three months,
five dynamic social entrepreneurs in their 20's
connected with the Flourish Ojai team and community mentors*
to conceptualize, launch, and expand their creative initiatives.
When the Fellows were asked how they would describe the program,
they responded as follows:

"Some of the most worthwhile months I have spent in my life to date. Helped me become the most clear I've ever been in my purpose. It's given me a direction in which to walk."
"The Flourish Fellowship is a three month-long opportunity for young entrepreneurs seeking to better themselves through a project or business. Each participant receives one-on-one, group, and peer experiences that deeply investigate life and self practices so one's venture can flourish from an aligned place for all."
"An entrepreneur collective that collaborates with mentors and experts to take your dream and bring it into reality."
"A personal development course whose intention is creating a business you love. Queer Eye but spiritual and business-oriented for people in their 20s."

This Spring (2024):
Alara
Growing her healing business.
"What really has stuck with me about the Fellows program is the importance of building a solid foundation and dedicating time week after week even when you don't feel like it, even when life happens and not giving up. Having this community and support has been so life changing and really has grounded all my ideas and dreams and made me feel like they are possible. This is the single-handedly one of the most impactful things I’ve done and I can’t thank everyone enough for their ongoing support and rallying behind us.”
Ciaran
Advancing his carpentry career through education and networking in natural woodworking.

Erin
Creating a memorial tribute to community mentors who inspired her to pursue a creative career.

"Business and life success are possible for any individual with the right people and tools where long-term commitment and responsibility are enacted. While the diversity of interests in human kind fuels the existence colorfully, the way we live boils down to universal principles on the right path (like breath). Sharing our successes and failures open up space to reflect, build, or toss what works or doesn't".

Sharing his vast array of creative services in new works theater and workshop production.
"The knowledge and experience that has stayed with me includes... The somatic inquiry and special attention paid to our nervous systems. The confidence-building business savvy. The inspiring workshops that revolved around boundaries, using our voices, and determining our stories. The focus on holistic wellness that can transform into bringing our projects to fruition. The overall spirit of support and encouragement."
Ze'Lee
Expanding her creative, collaborative events for the community to include highly beneficial elixirs.
“What really has stuck is the importance of building a solid foundation and dedicating time week after week even when you don’t feel like it, even when life happens and not giving up. Having this community and support has been so life changing and really has grounded all my ideas and dreams and made me feel like they are possible. It’s only a matter of time.”
Last Summer (2023):
Chance
Sharing the art, history, and spirituality of tattooing.
"What was most dominant for me was the ability to create a website, feeling supported mentally physically and spiritually, and being able to really express myself and narrow down my passion into a tangible goal within an attainable amount of time. I think the group discussions were very helpful to understand where we were all out individually, but most of all to understand where we were going collectively."
Supporting a local nonprofit via technology services and exploring advanced education in psychology.
"We are in charge of noticing the narrative that we keep reciting, and we are also in charge of changing the antagonist's archetype in our narratives. We don't have to be stuck in our stories."
Empowering consumer choices for regenerative living at My Greener Pastures.
"The opportunity to facilitate has been the most helpful for me. In addition, just developing a supportive relationship with the flourish team and the fellows has been very giving. There is a lot of value in the small things like convos over dinner or being able to chat freely during one-on-one check ins."
Digital marketing with a focus on noble causes at Starry Sky Social.
"I think David's motto 'Will this actually help me make money?' will stick with me. There are so many things I thought I 'had' to do when, really, I just need to do what will start making money."
Serving as a death doula exploring the profound value of life through contemplating the reality of death.
"Everything we have done here resonates. It has given me courage and confidence, a renewed sense of commitment, and a belief in something more than myself. All of the practitioners had fantastic, valuable insight. The ones that stick are based on the beliefs I had about myself, the spirit world, how to live a healthier life physically and emotionally."
Thane
Captivating people with the beauty and history of the Ojai Valley.
